Microcross - extremely cost effective development environment, making GNU based tools available for both Windows and Linux hosts, integrated under SlickEdit to provide a seamless IDE.  Easy to use with almost any target processor and connectivity means, via serial/network or JTAG interfaces.  Utilizing same gcc compilers and gdb debugging technology used in Linux and VxWorks.  Supports ARC, AVR, NEC V850x, ARM (all), MIPS16/32/64, SuperH, H8/3xx, M32R, SPARC, XScale, i386 (all modes), i960, M68K/CPU32/Coldfire, PowerPC (all), Panasonic NM10x00.  GNU GCC compiler is considered to be the father of most compilers today, it is the basis of the GNU/Linux system and ported to all known platforms today.  Sample applications compiled with gcc are Unix, Linux, VxWorks and many more.  Usable with all RTOS'es, incl. Micrium - µC/OS-II, a modern, mature RTOS with a unique business model - buy a book and get the full source code, pay a very reasonable price once (and only) when you ship.  The 600 page book is a perfect modern RTOS tutorial.  Also available are GUI, File System and Flash Loader products.  Supports some 100 processors and derivatives.

Cogent - a series of low cost development boards for the hottest 32 bit processors, including ARM/XScale,PowerPC, MIPS, ColdFire, Analog Devices.
